Meenakshi Malik
A postgraduate from Miranda House , Delhi University and an educationist with two decades of experience working in reputed schools of Delhi and Mumbai. She conducted various workshops for children in British Council Library, New Delhi. Her passion of working with children of various age groups prompted her to take the experience to underprivileged children with a focus in improving their academics and exposing them to the opportunities that would make them realize their potential. This is now being achieved by her with the launch of her NGO Prakash Foundation that works for children and also for empowering women as they are the mother , sister at home and empowering them would lead to improving the social conditions of children and underprivileged families in our society .
Pali Waraich
Pali Waraich is a household name in Mumbai for her dedication to help needy women. She has generated employment for over 200 women who are widow or specially challenged by handing over a small tool to them – Crochet and Thread. Paliji believes that these women can do wonders when given an opportunity. In fact the crochet dress or lace developed by these ladies is worn by the likes of Lara Datta and Kiron Kher. Her designs are being showcased by Tarun Tahliani in his shows. Paliji is helping Prakash Foundation by imparting the crochet skill to our ladies and by also giving them crochet designs to develop into laces and mnay household items like cushion covers, handbags, sofa covers, table mats etc.
Gunjan Khatry
Gunjan Khatri Gunjan graduated with a diploma in Early childhood care and education, she has a vast experience of teaching in various public schools in Delhi, Chandigarh as well as Jammu. She has a strong inclination towards social work and actively participated within NGO FOD (family of disabled) in Delhi. In addition to this, she conducted English classes for children in Jammu and for adults in Ajmer. Due to her inclination for social work and her passion for working with children she is currently working as the Project Coordinator for the foundation. She’s responsible for the development of new programs and initiatives. Gunjan likes to joke that she loves citrus fruits so much because she needs the sourness to balance out her naturally sweet disposition – we couldn’t agree more!
Vandana Sehgal
Vandana Sehgal is an active participant in the functioning of the NGO. Being a corporate trainer, she has the constant urge to teach the under-privileged children and ladies. She aims at inspiring and shaping a great future of at least one child. Working for the NGO gives her the satisfaction and opportunity to share joy with the people who live in adversities but still have the courage to smile.
